Research Financial Planning & Analysis Office (RFP&A)

The Research Financial Planning & Analysis Office (RFP&A) is in charge of preparing, monitoring and revising the institutional Budget of the Department of Experimental Oncology, providing explanations on deviations versus Actual figures and re-Forecast during the year.
The RFP&A Office prepares the reports needed to monitor the trends and liaises with the Central Administration & Accounting Department during the monthly and annual closing activities for statutory preparation.
The Office is responsible for the administrative management of the IEO Research Groups by supporting the Principal Investigators and the Researchers in the management and monitoring of their Grants (both Clinical and Basic Research Grants). It is also responsible for the preparation of the data related to “5 per 1000” and “Ricerca Corrente” funding for Basic Research statements.
In addition, the Office is in charge of the Clinical Trials administrative management, by checking the expected margins of sponsored studies, as well as of approval, monitoring and reporting of all the Clinical Trials administrative statements and documentations. In particular, it prepares, monitors and revises the Clinical Trials Budget, providing explanations on deviations versus Actual results and re-Forecast during the year, and supports the related statutory accounting activities. It is also responsible for the Clinical Trials invoicing process and payment reminders, liaising with the Clinical Data Management Office.
The Office provides support in the same areas to Centro Cardiologico Monzino Hospital, which is part of the IEO Group.
